FACES IN WATER

Why hurl rocks at the media,

Their crops we call fake,

Though we need no encyclopedia,

To digest the food, they bake.

Catering to our cravings,

They seek to enhance their savings,

Feeding it seems rotten apples,

To our hunger not held in shackles.

Yes, rotten apples that smell,

But in their books, they sell,

Even if they, in their ethics falter,

They mirror our faces in water.

In basic economics in

diapers,

Demand is met with ample

supply,

Supply that sings the tunes of the

pipers,

And the right supply we must

apply.

Mouths and ears often have met,

Telling to us, what is their debt,

WWWW and how, to us they owe,

That to us, they are pledged to show.

CNNs, ABC, CBSs THE OX or the FOX,

Our minds they sway or caged in a box,

Storming our thoughts, all on our roof,

To us they claim feeding us the truth.

The truth it seems is not what our

ear delights,

It’s what we require in their tasty

highlights,

So, you this age, shoot no arrows at

the press,

To us they come, all dressed

to impress.
