My eye so smiles on winters morn,
When flakes of ice descend its dawn,
On branches brown on earth so bare,
They perch their feet and gaze at all,
And all who gaze enrich this sight
That nature paints with much delight
So must we all like trees and snow,
Though skins distinct, though lands apart,
So knit our hearts and souls and sow,
This peace the world so needs in its heart.
