Our Selfish Fathers

They could have engaged

If sons their gains were to be retained

What they acquired or left over

Even if, it could not spill over

They needed to maintain

For their grand kids to retain

What they worked hard for

And for what some of them died for

They never shared prove

Not even when we shared the roof

Why their lustful quest for lust and women?

And Selfish endeavors, remained a myth not proven

Yes! they left us nothing

That could have been something

Horses we could not ride on

Our chest we could not beat on

But ours is not to Judge

But of our lives to purge

What does for us not fit

We must head on acquit
