My Maker

To date, In the life I led before,

And all that shaped me afore,

I never did seriously perceive,

That I will someday receive,

Not thoughts but knowledge,

Which make me truly acknowledge,

About my life, for me, his divine will,

If only in him, I will abide, and be still.

My creator and my maker

And my shaper and creator

If you be for the sparrow

And redirects the assailing arrow

No matter in length, the measure

Or in measure, whose pleasure,

I know in you my rest is lain,

Even, should I be insane.

In all the paths I have tread,

And the many more I will tread.

I will forever truly acknowledge

With gratitude my new knowledge

Of your love for me, your power

Transcending any known tower,

That you are my lord, my maker,

And will forever be my Shaper.
