Moms

Men pretend not to know

Who taught us our ties to wear?

And our pants to latch on tight

And how best to the ladies appear

When moms, rise to show

Could be but a few and more

Our planet begins to turn

The earth its orbit will change

Men have often said

It takes a man to teach a man

But it takes a mom to teach a son

To embrace what a dad can teach

A dad can decree

And as well declare

What he wants to be

In you to be

But it is greater gain

To salute a mom

For all she can give

To make your life all whole

Dedicated to my Mother Augustina on Mothers Day.
