EARLY IN TYSONS MALL

Writer: Edwin JanneyEdwin Janney

In the deep of the dawn,

So fresh with new morn,

Go to the shopping mall,

If you want to see it all.

Here, old folks whose lives have been,

With eyes that with time have seen,

Still plays in walk, stroll and some even run,

Each step though aging, but yet prevail in fun.

Some move in varied ones,

Others paired in shades of twos,

For they may have parted with partner,

Or in this journey added partner.

Yet with every step on each fresh morning,

Be it in health, for wealth or in mourning,

They rest on what is left, to press on in battle,

Counting on each step and breath, to carry the mantle.

Yes, go to Tysons Mall,

If you seek to learn it all,

Old folks reaching their life’s scope

Pursuing each step and breath still with great hope.
