CRUSH ON HER




Gripped with unrelenting passion,

Eyes fixed on attraction, mere obsession,

A prime heart is often propelled to believe,

And to say, that more than all he can perceive,

Three words, to ascertain his outward desire,

“I love you” I feel love that cannot transpire.


And even as he lets loose these words,

Brother Please? Away, fly up the birds,

And his truthful heart frowns in disbelief,

As his lustful eyes delight in much relief,

That his fragile words ignite her sparkle,

His yearning soul in instant startle.


This loves tremor, renders vain excitement,

Being with someone, feeling enchantment,

Can be carried away on a melting love cloud,

That fades and be wrapped in time in a shroud,

For it cannot see past what his eyes can readily see,
