When of your purest heart,
You yield your weary heart,
To Christ our loving savior,
Vowing to be of new behavior,
Heaven echoes your new beginning,
Your past, a triumphant ending.
As heaven hails your recreation,
Born again, your mind in celebration,
It feels at first, a load off your back, is lifted,
Your course in life is rightly shifted,
And in your heart your joy is warmed,
Your life this day is newly formed.
Yes, Born again, an easy cross over,
This should be an instant walkover,
But still throwing more lust at me,
I strive to hold on, because of me,
He gave up his life, my soul to redeem,
His blood was spilled so I be esteemed.
Yea though I am reborn with new desire,
I sometimes have paused, from God to inquire,
Why the bells still toll in Satan’s hemisphere,
He, mourning my departure to my new atmosphere,
The Apostle required with all of myself assembling,
To work out my salvation with fear and trembling.
To me God says, son, all shall not be easy,
Though by my grace, salvation comes freely,
Put on the full armor of your heavenly father,
To be strong, stay afloat and stray not further,
So, when the bells of hell, toll loud your way,
Steadfast in Christ your soul it cannot sway.
